Decided to make a green curry for my mother. I already decided I could do without the rice to keep the points down but even still, it is so high.
I work it out as this per serving:
Chicken 6
Green Curry Paste 1
Coconut milk 5 (gulp)
Oil 1
So without rice, we're talking 13 points, It is a delicious curry but coconut milk just makes it not worth it.

The Goal over Christmas
So Christmas is here. I suppose for a lot of us, this is our first time on the program. How can we get through it?
Personally, I have written my current weight down on a card which is stuck onto my fridge. Beside this, is my goal for after Christmas. A nice little reminder of where I want to be for my weigh in January 4th. No denying this is going to be extremely tough but here is how I think I can do it.
I have picked 3 non point days:
1. Christmas Day
2. Stephens Day (boxing Day)
3. New Years Eve
Every other day it is important to stay within my points level and avoid the temptation of an extra beer or glass of wine or a luxury sweet (my mouth is watering at the thought)
Exercise will play a major part. I'll be walking at least 7 to 8 miles every day except for the days above as well as doing my weights in the evening.
The goal next week is to be down 2.5 pounds. The goal after Christmas is not to have gone up!
Only time will tell but i'll plan my meals in advance and make sure I have all the makings for a healthy, weight losing Christmas

Have to pick myself up
6 weeks in and for the first time I have to deal with being up. I was disappointed after getting off the scales and realizing I was half a pound up but I am sure I can pull it back.
So i've come up with a plan for this week. It's the last week before Christmas and let's face it, it is going to be tough for that couple of weeks so here is what it is for me.
Normally, i'll have my dinner and follow it up with tea and a treat later on. Not this week. Nil by mouth after dinner. My exercise levels are good but I will try and increase them.
Brekkie will be either fruit or porridge (it's cold in Ireland).
Lunch will be a wrap with turkey or a nice salad
Dinner will be something warm with salad or soup
With all of this, I should be able to get back to where I want to be. Hopefully, i'll make it to 12 stone even for the last weigh in and a total loss of 10 pounds.

Activity Points
Seriously vital in the WW program. Just did a 12K walk with my better half there. Over 2 hours which is about 10 activity points. After the Christmas party and another night out on Saturday is probably just what I needed to stay on track . . . Here's hoping anyway
Friday 2 December 2011
It's the office Christmas Party. How do I stay on track?
Ok so you've worked hard on dropping the pounds and sticking to your points . . . but now it's the dreaded Christmas Party. Ok, so ;et's face it, you may have to use some of your 49 weekly. This is OK so remember that.
In an instant like this, I find it important to plan the whole day so here is how I will start:
Brekkie: Bowl of fruit (0 PP)
Lunch: Wrap with turkey and salad with light mayo (5PP)
That leaves me a full 33 PP before I need to even look at the 49 weekly PP.
So at 4PM, the office will close and the lads and the girls will head their separate directions.
For the lads, it is straight to the pub so this is the hard part.
This is how I see it panning out:
Pints before party (18 PP)
Dinner is soup (3PP) and Turkey & Ham with roasties, Veg and gracy (14 PP)
That has be 2 points into my 49 minus a glass of wine with dinner will leave me 42PP.
Not bad so far.
Now, i'll move onto the the spirits with diet coke which I will probably have about 6 of (18 PP)
So I will have left 24 weekly pro points alone.
Plenty of exercise Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before the weigh in and I should still manage to be down.
Check back Wednesday to find out . . . .

Just had my favourite dinner
Oh yeah, roast chicken (4 PP). Had it with leaf salad, tomato, red onion. Just used the juice of the chicken as dressing so a very low point meal.
I have 38 PP a day. At the moment, i've used 25PP.
Wispa Gold to come which is a chocolate bar. I've been saving it for almost 3 weeks. 7PP but well deserved as a snack
